Tom Hardy to Lead Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell

The Dark Knight Rises star Tom Hardy is set to lead the feature film adaptation of Ubisoft's best-selling video game franchise, Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell, Variety reports.

The first game was released in 2002 and set in 2004, following the adventures of Sam Fisher, a covert operative assigned to a top-secret National Security Agency branch called the Third Echelon.

The games has had several sequels including, most recently, "Tom Clancy's Spinter Cell: Conviction," released in 2010. A new game, "Blacklist" is planned for release early next year.

Hardy, who is currently shooting Mad Max: Fury Road, also appeared this year in Lawless and This Means War.

Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell does not yet have a director, but The International's Eric Warren Singer will provide the screenplay.

Wäre gar nicht mal so übel. Die Spiele haben es in sich und da Ubisoft das Ganze Selbst verfilmen will bleibt es auch denke ich mal sehr nah an der Vorlage.

Alleine Conviction war schon fast wie ein Interaktiver Film

War bislang kein Freund der Spielreihe....hab es nicht sonderlich damit wenn ich die ganze Zeit schleichen muss. Da fehlt mir einfach die Geduld ;)
