Wie kommste denn auf sowas?

also ich habe mit nem konsolen umbauer hier aus der gegend geredet... er hatte mir erählt das die ps3 wohl nach dem hack keine multimedia nutzung mehr hat.... aber ich kann da nicht so viel zu sagen....

also ich glaube das durch die online anbindung / updates / instalationen von spielen / BD Live features etc. die ps3 nicht wirklich auf lange zeit funktionieren kann.... die xbox 360 hats doch auch gezeigt.... wie viele konsolen wurden gebannt wegen diversen spielen die onine gespielt wurden!!!
also ich fände es nicht schlimm wenn die ps3 nie geflasht wird

Das wäre sicherlich mal die interessanteste Frage !
Es gibt auch Leute, die können sich selbst am großen Zehen lutschen - aber auch das wird viele nicht interessieren - oder ???

Also ich fände Codefree sinnvoll und wenn ich mir die Spiele auf ne externe Platte ziehen und von dort aus starten könnte.:p

In the interest of openness, I've decided to release the exploit. Hopefully, this will ignite the PS3 scene, and you will organize and figure out how to use this to do practical things, like the iPhone when jailbreaks were first released. I have a life to get back to and can't keep working on this all day and night.

Please document your findings on the psDevWiki. They have been a great resource so far, and with the power this exploit gives, opens tons of new stuff to document. I'd like to see the missing HV calls filled in, nice memory maps, the boot chain better documented, and progress on a 3D GPU driver. And of course, the search for a software exploit.

This is the coveted PS3 exploit, gives full memory space access and therefore ring 0 access from OtherOS. Enjoy your hypervisor dumps. This is known to work with version 2.4.2 only, but I imagine it works on all current versions. Maybe later I'll write up how it works :)

George "Geohot" Hotz hat den Quelltext seines Hacks veröffentlicht, mit dem man die PS3 knacken kann.

Wie der Beschreibung zu entnehmen ist, muss man an der Hardware doch etwas "herumlöten"; ein nur-Software-Hack scheint es also nicht zu sein. Darüberhinaus benötigt man zum Ausführen des proprietären Codes Linux, was wiederum bedeutet, dass dieser Angriff auf PS3 Slims nicht funktionieren wird.

Geohot will seinen Hack ausdrücklich nicht als Plattform für Raubkopien sehen. Dafür ist sein Hack so oder so zu instabil und erfordert einiges an Aufwand. Vielmehr sei sein Hack mehr ein Proof-of-Concept.

Was aber anzumerken ist, ist, dass ohne das Löten und externer Hardware dieser Hack überhaupt nicht möglich ist, was wiederum für Sony spricht. Im Vergleich dazu war das iPhone, welches Geohot auch als erster knackte, hackbar ohne irgendwelche Modifikationen an der Hardware.

Finde das sehr gut , somit sollte es sicherlich bald eine abaertskompatibilitaet zu PS2 fuer Jeden der mag geben. N1 :)
