I'll make this quick and concise.

The transfer is bad. Specs and dirt are ALL OVER the print, which obviously wasn't cleaned up at all. Detail is good, colors are a bit muted. I'll give the PQ a 2.5/5.

Audio....here is my biggest gripe. NO DTS-HD MA 5.1. The soundtrack is lossy. Yes, you heard me right. Alliance put this out minus a lossless soundtrack. The BIGGEST pet peeve I have when it comes to Blu Ray is when distributors do this, and the thing that blows my mind, is that Alliance is actually pretty well-known for their discs, at the very least, having excellent audio quality. Why they chose to saddle this one with a garbage, muted, prehistoric DD 5.1 track is beyond me.

Bottom line: save your dough. Eventually a studio in the US will grab the distribution rights to this franchise and give it a proper BD release (hopefully....trying to be optimistic here lol). Till then? You might as well pop in your DVD and watch it upconverted. It's really not all that much of a difference, certainly not enough to warrant a 25+ purchase, like I did. Stupid me.
