Ubisoft - Kein neues Assassins Creed 2011

unseren Kollegen von
Eurogamer bekannt, dass nach
dem Release von
Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood für
2011 kein weiterer Teil der erfolgreichen Serie geplant sei.
Die Serie benötige schlichtweg eine Atempause nach den großen
Erfolgen in der Vergangenheit, so
Boivin.
Zitat:
“Honestly, I think for the benefit of everybody
– and business can come back and override everything I say because
at the end of the day it’s about selling games – I believe that
this license needs a breather,” said Boivin.
Außerdem gab er bekannt, dass
Assassins's Creed:
Brotherhood das Ende der Geschichte rund um
Ezio einläute und es keinen weiteren Teil mehr mit
ihm geben wird.
Der künftige Fokus liegt eher darauf, mit einer komplett neuen und
aufregenderen Story aus der Pause zurück zu kommen.

I don’t think there’s going to be an Assassin’s
Creed in 2011. I think we’re going to let it breathe a bit and
really focus on bringing something new and exciting for the next
time around. This [Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood] is the end of
Ezio’s story. This is it.”
Abgesehen davon weiß dass Entwicklungsteam bereits, wo und wann das
nächste Spiel stattfinden wird.

The development team has already decided where
the next game will be set and in what time period.
"We know exactly where we're going," he said. We have to have some
vision with the story. We very much do; we know all that
stuff.
Wir können gespannt sein und halten euch selbstverständlich
up-to-date.
