Q. Any chance of getting a new Premium Format of Freddy? Maybe a Part 1 or Parts 2-4 version?

A. Looks like your wish has already been granted, with the recent unveiling of the new Freddy Krueger Premium Format Figure!

Q. Will we ever see Ghostbusters in Premium Format? Possibly with corresponding bases that attach to make a diorama?

A. There is no Sideshow, only Zuul. Believe us friend, Ghostbusters is one for our bucket list too.

Q. When will we see the Batman 1:6 figures out for pre-order? I am particularly excited to get a glimpse of your Arkham Asylum version!

A. Arkham Asylum Sixth Scale figures will be available soon courtesy of Hot Toys. As for Sideshow’s Batman Sixth Scale figures, our comic-based versions will be unveiled next – look for them around the time of San Diego Comic-Con!

Q. Any chance of bringing back (or finding a few unsold) Jaws maquettes? Couldn’t afford it when it came out… can now! :-)

A. We hear you man! The Jaws maquette was close to our heart because it’s an homage piece to Terry Wurmser, a personal friend who passed away during the project. Terry was involved because his dad, Frank, who was one of the key artists in designing and building Bruce for Spielberg. A little known fact that has never been revealed before is that 100% of the net proceeds went to Terry’s widow, Susan.

Sorry to say though, we’d need to secure a bigger boat to go hunting Jaws again.

Q. I just wanted to say that I love what you are doing with the Legendary Scale Figure line. I’m a BIG fan of 1/3rd scale statues (especially Predators). My only concern is the edition sizes of the LSFs. I can understand keeping them as open editions until cancelled. That allows people to save up for these expensive pieces. BUT, as a collector I like to know how rare or common my statues are. Would it be possible to number these LSF’s as they come off the line? Then when the molds are destroyed and the line is finished, you can post the final Edition Size. That way SSC sells as many as they can and us Statue geeks get to know how many other people have the same statue we bought and we can stop complaining about the open editions having no set numbers.

A. While the Legendary Scale Figures will not be numbered individually, rest assured that the number produced is highly limited. You’re quite right, our reasoning for the non-published edition size does have a lot more to do with allowing collectors the maximum opportunity to own one of these big beasts, because these are not quick, impulse buys for the average Joe. We will keep them available as long as is practical, based on many factors, including popularity and production realities, but they are essentially made to order. Perhaps we’ll someday share the final edition sizes, but to be honest, we’d rather that collectors make a decision on these pieces based on the quality of the statues themselves than whether or not the number is 200, 500, or 5 million produced. (Note: the number will never be 5 million!)

Q. Salutations Sideshow staff! First off, absolutely love you guys & gals! Now for some hard hitting questions, will Sideshow ever show some love to the Thunderbolts & if so which incarnation of the team would it be? I ask you these questions because I ABSOLUTELY love this team! Please, please, please, please Sideshow, give the T-bolts some love.

A. Man, we love you too! Thunderbolts, eh? Good question. Can we ask you to give us a bit more – which version of the team is your favorite, and which character(s) do you want to see the most?

Q. Will the DC license allow Sideshow to do characters from DC Universe Online? The designs of those DC characters are top notches from Mr. Jim Lee and his team. How about Brainiac, who donned a more heavy armored purple costume? I hope we’ll see a Premium Format and a 1:6 scale figure of the diabolical Brainiac please!

A. Indeed, and the artwork from DC Universe has already been utilized as inspiration for upcoming products, and mostly because of the excellent work Lee and his team did in rendering these characters for their 3D game models. We’re in love with the Brainiac designs too.

Q. Listen Sideshow you got to do Premium Formats from the Metal Gear line – Solid Snake needs to hit the 1/4 scale! He is a legend and one of my favourite game characters! Also I’m going to suggest Nathen Drake, Altiar or Ezio, Kratos, Dante and Nero, Gear of War, Tenchu – sorry got bit carried away but game iconic characters need to hit 1/4 scale please!

A. You’re right. You’re damn right! We need more titans from the video game worlds, and we’re working on it. Keep your eyes peeled around San Diego Comic Con.
