Yes, I do remember. You're welcome (especially concerning the mediabook virus :D that's something without a cure, so you'll carry it as long as they'll make mediabooks, I guess :D ). Some peopel have their entire wall full with mediabooks. In my case I only collect those from movies I like or that are on my bucket list. However, the nice thing about mediabooks: for most of them you will get the full price, when reselling (and that's even underprice, consindering the shitload of money some cutthroats make) - so sometimes I risk a purchase without knowing the movie, just because I like the cover :o

Exactly what I think.
It has no sense to buy all mediabooks, I choose only the ones that I can't find in blu-ray in Italy or those with beautiful artwork.
For example, now I'm searching The Fly cover C, but it will be difficult to find.
Do you know if media-dealer sells Anolis' Hammer mediabooks? I couldn't find them on that site...

Not sure about media-dealer. I've never ordered anything from them. I've however asked the same question beginning of this year (I only stumbled upon the Anolis Mediabooks recently), and I was told that you can get them at:

• icatchermedia.de (which belongs to Anolis)

I've also found out that both mega-store-palast and pretz-media sell them aswell.


From these I can only give feedback for BMV-Medien, mega-store-palast and pretz-media: BMV-Medien is totally okey, nothing fancy. mega-store-palast tries to go the extra mile (they add a small pack of gummy bears + protective sleeves for the mediabook + they package everything very well, and you have a ton of possibilities to pay - even with payment plans). However, unfortunately I made the experience that they treat you differently according to how much you order and that does even apply to when they answer your requests - so beginning this year after being a loyal customer for almost two years now I made a really bad experience with them and nearly did not get a really rare mediabook at all (which is now sold 150€+). And when confronting them they bluntly said that I am not important enough because I don't buy enough per month, which is why they did not service me right away but had me waiting for three more days.

So I switched to pretz-media, who are almost as good when it comes to the extra mile. They only offer PayPal and wire transfer in advance, but you also get good packing, bubblewrap and both protective sleeves and gummy bears :D They are really friendly and I feel treated equaly to everyone else. I even got two cupons from them for 5€ and once they did not charge me shipping, so 14€ saved in just half a year! :D

Feeling sorry for the treatment, also in Italy there are some shops that are getting too big for their boots.
I have bought many blu-rays for a value of more than 5000€ on this shop and they argue me not to change a blu-ray with damaged amaray... very disappointed...

I need a shop who uses bubblewraps because I hate worn out corners, speaking of mediabook, digibook or digipack editions...
Media-dealer offers me a very good packaging, I have never had a better packaging.
Do you buy only on online shop or also private sellers? I see some good mediabook pages on facebook, with OOP movies and also Filmundo is a good market, the only thing is that I have not so much confidence in private sellers...

I always try to buy from shops, if possible, because of the return rights if something is not as it is supposed to be; when you buy from private you don't have these rights.

However if you missed a release, there is often no other way. I've bought things a couple of times via Facebook, and I never had any problems there, but what I hate about Facebook are the silly prices - esepcially with Mediabooks the people go crazy, and ask for 100-250€ which is insane. I often have more luck using eBay. And I use the Marketplace from bluray-disc.de quite often. Only once I had troubles here (someone saying it was OVP = originally wrapped, but it wasn't and the back info sheet was missing :( ). But other than that I can recommend the Marketplace - it's guys like you and me selling their stuff, so there is a good chance you get a good condition and perfectly packaged.
