FIRST LOOK at Sideshow and Legacy Effects new Groot Maquette!

Sideshow is proud to be working on an exciting new project with our friends and colleagues at Legacy Effects on an all-new Groot Maquette inspired by everyone’s favorite Flora Colossus!

What makes this maquette different? First, it is being hand-crafted by the very same ‘hands’ who are bringing this lovable character to the big screen. Legacy Effects have contributed practical effects for many notable movies, including Avatar, Iron Man 2, Iron Man 3, The Avengers, and Avengers: Age of Ultron. They have also provided character design for The Avengers, The Amazing Spider-Man, and now, Guardians of the Galaxy!

This lovable little guy will also be a hand-numbered limited edition, perfect for high-end statue collectors. Even Taneleer Tivan would be jealous of owning such a collectible.

The final design, expression and pose for Sideshow’s Groot Maquette is still a closely guarded secret, but we are able to share some pre-production photos for the Guardians of the Galaxy vol 2 movie by our friends at Legacy!









These awesome behind-the-scenes photos give us a rare glimpse into the exceptional workmanship that Legacy Effects bring to every project.
Even on the big screen at movie theaters, it’s hard to truly capture the amazing level of detail that their artists bring to their characters.

Auf dem Bild ist die Baby Groot statue von Legacy Effects.

Müsste wahrscheinlich dann dieser hier werden. Sideshow macht dann noch vielleicht eine Base oder so... man wird sehen.

Hab die HT Variante zwar schon bestellt, aber war eh mit Reward Points... von daher :D der bleibt dann in seinem Anzug.

Legacy Effects spircht ja für sich. Der kommt auf jeden fall in die Marvel Sammlung :thumb:
