The electronics we were looking into for a
specific product we had in mind didn’t work out, unfortunately.
It’s not out of the question that we might go there again, but for
now we have no products in development that feature
electronics.
Okay, teasing time! Bear in mind some of these
clues refer to the same subject so get cross-referencing, and
unless otherwise stated, it’s all in reference to new Middle-earth
collectibles …
As mentioned before, this year we have some themes across a number
of our reveals, both in 1/6th and 1/30th, though that doesn’t mean
everything new we are showing is limited to them.
So, talking themes, there will be two new 1/6th scale Middle-earth
statues shown that are both drawn from one scene, and three from
another.
The much speculated upon new circular base will make its debut,
though ironically it wasn’t what Leonard was referring to when he
let slip that hint many months ago.
1/30th may be a small scale, but its presence at the show will be
big!
Across our Middle-earth lines and scales…
Someone gets made-up before leaving home.
A couple of someones don’t even bother wearing shoes out.
Someone can take his head gear off.
Someone else is taking off a load.
Someone is seriously BIG.
Someone else just needs a hug (and is getting one).
A few of our someones are mortal (one very much so).
Most of our someones are not.
Do undead someones count as immortal?
Several someones are showing up twice.
Someone is counting on a light.
Someone else brought one.
Someone is swinging a staff.
Someone else is swinging his arms.
Someone is swinging a sword.
Someone else is swinging two.
There was the matter of those three arrows …
And one of Dan’s fondest dreams is about to come true.
In non-Middle-earth news …
Look for some fresh Warcraft awesomeness!
And a popular past license will be announced to return, while a
brand new one will also be teased.
Finally, being straight up candid, I have some good news and some
bad …
I am very pleased to be able to announce that Éomer on Firefoot is
coming to 1/6th, as I know many of you have demanded. I am pleased
to say he will be amazing, but … it’s gonna be a while before you
get to see him. Riders are always complicated and this one is no
exception. He won’t be at SDCC this year, sorry to say, but I
promise he will be worth the wait.
Alright gang, I hope you get a kick out of those cryptic clues.
Some are fairly obvious while a few are downright nasty and
obscure. And I can’t wait to hear what you all think of the final
reveals next week. If you’re going to San Diego, say hi to all our
mutual friends and have a blast at the Moot!
