Review:
I am only doing a cursory review, as I am certain other more well
done videos should pop up in regards to this Ms. Marvel. Firstly,
as usual the QC, packaging, print and box are all A-1. Get that out
of the way.
As for Ms. Marvel, not much to say outside of the ordinary, other
than the fact this is a very nice statue. She is done very well.
However, let me cut to the chase so to speak: What do I think about
Ms. Marvel from XM? Wellllllllllll.........it's pretty good. Not
spectacular, not exquisite, and by no means a ho hum statue either.
To me it falls in line with Wolverine and Black Widow from XM. It's
funny because there isn't really anything I don't like about it
actually....but even from the get go...I wasn't all gung ho on her
like I am for She-Hulk or especially Medusa (what I think currently
is XM's flagship piece IMO...or will be). I think she is really
nice. I like her a little more than Elektra, about on par with
Black Widow and much less than Phoenix (in fact I will take a pic
of her next to Jean so you can compare). One clearly stands way out
above the other. Hell, in fact, just look at her next to Hulk and
you will clearly see how massive and overpowering Hulk is compared
to her.
I will agree with those that have stated the face could have
definitely used much more emotion....hell, just some
emotion. In fact, it's the lack of emotion that keeps this
from being a fantastic statue. The expression is lifeless and thus
doesn't excite me like the Phoenix upswept hair portrait does....or
the sultry sensuous She-Hulk portrait does. The pose however is
pretty sweet as well.
The base is very heavy and a nice concept...but I think there could
have been more detailed paint apps on it that could have really
made this pop. What I mean is, the tank doesn't really convey
metal. Don't get me wrong, it has details like scratches, real
metal wiring, etc. and it is paint super clean and nicely....it
just doesn't have that metal look with dust, dirt, etc. on it. It
doesn't by any means detract from the sculpt of the base, but it
doesn't enhance it either. It's the lack of some of these details
(blank facial expression, lack of higher detailed paint on base)
that doesn't make this piece super pop like I think it could.
Now with all that being said, I would like for people to remember
that Ms. Marvel is the cheapest (least expensive) of all the 1/4
statues they have done, so what is there is definitely worthy of
the price tag. In Singapore this beautiful statue costs less than
the regular SS statues. She only runs around $430 USD. If you were
lucky enough to get one of these in the US, of which there are not
many since most people in the approved territories bought most of
them, including shipping, this should only run about $650. That's
highly impressive for such a high quality statue such as Ms.
Marvel. Highly impressive I will repeat!
So that's it in a nutshell. A beautiful statue but not stupendous
like Phoenix or Medusa....but every bit as good as Black Widow,
Wolverine and Ant-Man. I do think she could have been given more
mass in her arms...more muscle rather.

Sieht live ganz toll aus. Schön schwer, perfekt bemalt und ein
wunderschönes Gesicht. Und passt in eine Besta.
