Panasonic didn't announce it in the press release, but when we took a tour of the booth we noticed that the DMP-BDT350 features dual HDMI outputs, which is unique compared to all the other 3D Blu-ray players announced at CES 2010.

The reason for the dual ports is to deal with the fact that 3D Blu-ray requires HDMI 1.4 and all existing AV receivers only support HDMI 1.3. The Panasonic DMP-BDT350 will integrate more easily with existing AV receivers, by sending the high-bandwidth 3D video directly to your HDTV, and the audio to the receiver. Other 3D Blu-ray players will require new HDMI 1.4 AV receivers if you want to use HDMI for audio. We think it's a smart design choice and it differentiates the DMP-BDT350 from the other 3D Blu-ray players at the show.

As far as 3D Blu-ray goes, we haven't had enough hands-on testing with the new format to report whether it's worth upgrading. Although the DMP-BDT350 will let you use your existing HDMI receiver, you'll still need a new compatible HDTV, new HDMI cable and 3D glasses, so the true cost of 3D will be relatively high. There's also the issue of 3D Blu-ray media, which will probably be scarce for all of 2010.

SAMSUNG wird im Sommer mit dem ersten 3D Player = BD-C6900 3D durchstarten und der Player soll internetfähig sein, in 15 Sek. Booten

wer braucht sowas?

Dazu braucht man meines Wissens nach auch einen 3D fähigen Fernseher, das geht dann gewaltig ins Geld, im Moment muss ich ich das eigentlich noch nicht haben Erstmal abwarten ob der 3D Effekt wirklich so grandios ist wie angekündigt.

hmm das ist wie die 10 Handtasche:D, die brauchen wir eigentlich auch nicht, aber wir wollen Sie:pray:
So ist es bei mir mit der 3D Zusatzoption für das Heimkino.
Ist kein must have, aber schön wenn man es hat und ab und zu einen 3D Film daheim schauen kann.

Ich freue mich auf das bessere 3D mit Shutterbrillen und weg von den Pappkarton-Rot-Grün-Brillen!

@Lexy: ich sag es mal so - wenn es die qualität wirklich wert ist, dann ist 3d sicherlich ne interessante geschichte. aber ich denke das ist alles längst nicht ausgereift und für mich von daher reine zukunftsmusik. wieviele haben sich gerade erst einen neuen full-hd tv gekauft, weil sie auf blu-ray umgestiegen sind und hd-tv geniessen wollen? und nehmen wir das beispiel hd - wieviele programme gibt es denn schon die in hd ausstrahlen? sehr wenige, und die die in zukunft in hd senden werden, verlangen vielleicht auch noch kohle dafür, was ich schon mal völlig daneben finde. und in sachen 3d müssen auch wieder neue geräte angeschafft werden. neuer tv, neuer player, die brillen. das alles zusammengerechnet ist nicht gerade billig und ich denke einfach es ist momentan noch viel zu früh sich näher über 3d gedanken zu machen. darüber kann man sich dann gedanken machen, wenn die entsprechenden geräte auf dem markt sind, wenn man sich von der qualität überzeugen kann, wenn man preise kennt, wenn es ausreichend filme dafür gibt, so das sich eine anschaffung für neue geräte überhaupt erst mal lohnt. sind wir doch erst mal froh, das wir unsere schönen blauen scheiben haben :-)...

Ich finde die Idee gut das es 2 hdmi Anschlüsse gibt. Dann braucht Mann nicht unbedingt einen neuen Verstärker der das Bild eh nur weiter leitet. Dann brauche ich nur einen guten player und den 3D Beamer. Denn meine rotel Vorstufe kann kein hdmi 1.4 somit mein Lob an die Hersteller die auch mal mitdenken das nicht jeder alles neu kauft. Was sollte das auch bringen bei einem Verstärker. Das Bild wird eh super vom player geschickt und fertig. Werde wohl Weihnachten zuschlagen
