"Dear Collectors and Friends,
Update on Wolverine - Weapon X Project. After doing extensive testing and research, we are pleased to share that the 'Wet' effects will be manufactured according to XM's high standards. Many collectors have voiced their concerns over clear resin (wet effects) turning yellow over time. All clear resins will turn yellow over time but XM has created a special mixture that reduces the yellowing to the minimal and after multiple ageing tests, the final results is looking good with the slight natural yellowing pretty much unnoticeable (many failed pieces until we are happy with the final!). The product photos shown is the production piece after ageing tests of the final wet effect.
In order to push out first batches as early as Feb 2018 (before the CNY), we are opening the PreOrder for XM Weapon X earlier on this Monday, 11th Dec. 19:00 o´clock evening (German Time Zone). Retailing at €1200 with XM Studios famous switch outs and light up features, we hope collectors will be please with this piece! A news with more information will follow at PreOrder day next Monday.
Have a nice weekend!

XM Studios is excited to present our next Marvel Premium Collectibles series statue, Wolverine - Weapon X Project! The tortured and deranged Logan James Howlett from the cruel Weapon X Project also known as the beginning story arc of Wolverine with Adamantium claws and skeleton, is immortalized in amazingly detailed 1:4 scale cold-cast porcelain. Each painstakingly handcrafted statue is individually hand-painted with the highest possible quality finish. The statue depicts Wolverine's escape from the Weapon X Project Labs, filled with feral rage in his pained and unstable mental state.
The origins of the clandestine Weapon X Program date back to 1945 when a civilian advisor to the American military named Thorton investigated a liberated concentration camp and discovered the hidden laboratory of the enigmatic geneticist Mister Sinister. Using Sinister’s research as the basis for his own work, Thorton, also known simply as the Professor, chose Wolverine as his first test subject. Wolverine was kidnapped and taken to a Canadian facility where he was subjected to a brutal process in which the near-indestructible metal Adamantium was bonded to his skeleton, including his mutant claws. The Professor was surprised at the full extent of Logan’s mutant nature, which enabled him to recover from the process far more rapidly than anticipated. Reduced to a quasi-mindless state, Wolverine was sent to slaughter the inhabitants of the small town of Roanoke as a test of his abilities. Wolverine ultimately broke free of the Professor’s conditioning and ran amok in the Weapon X facility. In the course of his escape, he slew most of the facility’s personnel.

"Dear Collectors and Friends,
we have for you an update on the XM Weapon X 1/4 statue. Thank you Bryan Tan for the new informations and pictures from the factory. Please read his impression from Weapon X, thank you.

"Haven’t been to the QC workshop for awhile. The team still amazes me with the skills and dedication to achieving our vision - and beyond! The wet look is looking really life like and even better than what was shown at stgcc. There are also notable small enhancements, the metal studs embedded in Logan’s body has been changed to real metal (previously was resin). The screens has also been upgraded with newer and more detailed screen graphics and will come packed with protective screen stickers so they arrive in pristine conditions to collectors. The metal claws shine and pops really nice and the light visor is a subtle but nice little addition to creating more mood if you turn off all lights and just switch on visor lights and the lab lights. There are small parts such as the little antennas on the helmet which we are using more flexible pvc to avoid breakage but beware, they are still breakable if you don’t handle them well. I used to only prefer wolvie in his costume but this one is catching me by surprise!"
