Edward Yang director <Haetancheokilcheon> release guide & home video to be released.

Did you have a lively new year?

We would like to express our gratitude to those who have loved the home video package of director Edward Yang, from <The Murder Case of an Elderly Boy> to <One and Two>, <The Maniac Test>, <Taipei Story> and <The Horror>.

On January 6 (today), another film directed by Edward Yang, <One Thousand of the Seas> will be released.

The Taiwanese New Wave master Edward Yang's <A Thousand Seas> is about Zari, who heard the news of her husband's disappearance on the beach one day, and Wei-ching, who returned to her hometown as a famous pianist after 13 years. A film depicting the time of growing up as a woman, while calmly illuminating the reality of Taiwan, the film compares the lives of two women to the life of two women and how inexplicable the path that the crossroads of choice placed at every moment lead us. It is a work expressed in language.

In addition, in collaboration with world-renowned cinematographer Christopher Doyle, who completed the style of Wong Kar-wi with original visual beauty such as <A Flower for Love>, <Abijeongjeon>, and <Chongqing Forest>, it captures the aesthetics of everyday life according to the Taiwanese New Wave keynote, which calmly contemplates reality. Therefore, it presents the beauty of a lyrical poem that can be enjoyed with the eyes with a flowing mise-en-scène that covers everything from a calm beach scene to a busy city.

We, Nova Media, have recently signed a contract for the home video rights of <Haechangyeongcheon>, and are currently negotiating with the copyright holder for details such as package composition and specifications.
We would like to ask for your support and interest in the home video package for the release of Edward Yang's first feature-length debut, <One Thousand Suns of the Sea>, who announced the start of the New Wave in Taiwan.
