We can
produce for you provided that all the necessary legals are in place
to avoid copyright
infringement.
Eine weitere....Minimum Order Quantity
einer Viva Metal Box is 2000Stück.

Dear xxx, I do contact you as a
Senior member in the german Blu Ray Forum (www.bluray-disc.de).
We are many Collectors over there, did found Communities called
"Steeljunkies" and do have extra Threads about your Steelcase
products (Inglourious Basterds, Gladiator, Godfather, etc.) and
since last year the Community around your Viva Metal Boxes is
growing and growing. The reason why I contact you, is to get some
more insight on upcoming releases, maybe plans from you on
Steelcase (Metal Slipcases) and Viva Metal Box Releases. We have
heard from King's Speech (China) as well as from John Carter
(Canada). Are there any plans to continue with Metal Slipcases? (we
call them just Steelcases) I personally do have all known and
launched Blu Ray Metal Slipcases worldwide (22 Collectibles) and
would be really glad if you reply to me and feed me with some
information. Best Regards, Sascha

Hi
Sascha,
Thanks for your
contact.
“ Steelbook “ is
simply a trademark used by a competitor company of Viva, so we may
not use that name. We style the product “ Viva Metal Box “
.
Viva develops the
packaging but only manufactures on custom orders from the studios
who own the copyright and provide us with their artwork. We do not
manufacture these products for general
sale.
We continue to
market them to the studios because we believe they are a good
selling item and there are many collectors who desire them but we
do not control in any way the release of them, only the indent
manufacture for the copyright
owners.
Regards

Hi
xxx,
thanks for your
answer.
I know of course,
that "Steelbooks" come from
Scanavo.
My message was more
related to your products. Metal Slipcases (like The Dark Knight,
Inglourious Basterds, Gladiator, etc.) do have a real Collector
Community and people in our Forum are very keen and curious to see
more upcoming releases.
My Question is more
related to your recently launched Metal Boxing. The Viva Metal Box.
Would it be correct to say, that the Viva Metal Box is to be
considered as the Successor of the Metal
Slipcases?
Your recent Viva
Metal Box packaging has also reached high Collecotr interest. We
have seen from China, that blufans.com seem to launch movies in
that packaging in limited runs like 1k
pcs.
Is that generally
possible to order products from you in that Qty
range?
I do ask, because
potentially some forums in Germany could also think about creating
their own Viva Metal Box, considering of course to match the
corresponding legal rules with the
studios.
Blufans.com
launched the movie "Real Steel" in the Viva Metal
Box.
Next China release
will be "The King's
Speech".
I would be keen to
know, what the MOQ would be, to make a custom artwork happen with
your Metal Box housing.
Many
thanks,
Sascha

Hi
Sascha,
There is a price
differential between the Viva Metal Box and the Viva Metal Sleeve.
The Metal Box is more expensive. I wouldn’t say that the one is the
successor of the other. Depending on the title and the
marketing/packaging budget a distributor will choose one or the
other.
For one price a
standard BD Metal Sleeve will accommodate 1-6 BD Discs in standard
Viva packaging. With the BD Metal Box option, each increase in
capacity will be a more expensive
option.
If we have seen a
trend develop I would say
that
- New release titles go in a Viva Metal
Box
- TV or Movie
Series 1-6 discs go in a Viva Metal Sleeve ( price differential
grows, the more discs there are the better value the sleeve is.
)
- Recent
release/catalogue specials etc could go in either, depending on
budget.
We are unable to
produce only 1,000 pieces which is below our Minimum Order Quantity
( “ MOQ “ ).
The Viva Metal Box
MOQ is 2,000 pieces and The Viva Metal Sleeve MOQ is 3,000 pieces.
We believe this is well below our competitor
MOQ.
We can produce for
you provided that all the necessary legals are in place to avoid
copyright infringement.
Please do not
hesitate to contact me if we can further
assist.
