Verbrieft nichts, aber ich weiß noch aus einem anderen Forum dass
er schon im 3en zu Mysterio werden sollte:

Apparently,
I'm now told by my very dependable source, the appearance of Bruce
Campbell as Quentin Beck in Spider-Man 3
is to play out something a little
like this:
Peter Parker
finds out about a Spider-Man movie being made and goes to the set
to check it out. Avi Arad and Sam Raimi have cameos as the producer
and director. Quentin Beck is the movie's special FX guy. The fact
that Peter and MJ are both in the public eye - though one can never
reveal that he is - is milked for a little bit of fun
too.
This brief
cameo appearance by Beck is just about the full the breadth and
depth of the "4th villain" mystery. That makes this a genuine
spoiler, I suppose.
Daruas wurde aber nix, außerdem hatte Raimi den Namen Quentin Beck
(Mysterio) in Zusammenhang mit Campbells Rolle in den Mund
genommen, also muss da schon was dran sein.

Coole Sache das, Mysterio ist zwar nicht mein Fave, bin aber sicher
das Campbell da was draus hätte machen können. Allerdings hätte ich
mir ein anderes Kostüm gewünscht, weil das Fischglas könnte in echt
ziemlich strange aussehen.

Wenn die es gut anstellen könnte aus den 6 Spidy-Filmen noch ne
RICHTIG tolle runde Sache werden, so viel Steckt noch da drin
(schon allein von den in Teil 1-3 "vorbereiteten" Handlungen). Ich
hoffe auf Mysterio weil ich Campbell das gönne und ihn gerne sehe,
aber mehr als ein kleiner Gegner wird er nicht sein vermute
ich.

Mysterio finde ich zwar nicht gerade ein coolen Schurken in den
Comics, aber z.B in Guardian Devil fand ich ihn klasse. Auch seine
"Superkraft" hat Potential um eine interessante Handlung zu
schaffen.

Denke auch das grundsätzlich ne Menge Potential in der Figur
steckt. Aber wenn man da nicht sensibel rangeht, dann geht das nach
hinten los und wirkt albern wenn nicht gar lächerlich

Denke/hoffe da Raimi jetzt wieder die vollkommene Herrschaft im
nächsten Teil hat, dass er das ganze so hinbiegt dass es
passt.

hoffe nur es wird bei dem Kostüm nicht wirklich eine riesige Kugel
als Kopf. Kann mir nicht ganz vorstellen, dass das gut aussieht.
Schon in den Comics sieht es nicht sooo cool aus.

Sagte ich ja schon weiter oben das ich das ungern als Kostüm sehen
möchte.
Denke wenn man das ein wenig modifiziert wie das von Bullseye in
Daredevil dann kann das auch schon ganz schön cool aussehen

gab ja mal in den Comics den Versuch ein neues Kostüm für Mysterio
zu nehmen, war aber auch nicht ganz das ware.
