Progress update 2.

Booklets & Discs are in.

Booklets have come out great, they are script extracts which I kept in original form alongside some behind the scenes imagery.

All discs are here which is great news.

Pin badges due next week ( size was adjusted and made larger) they are now 2 inch as opposed to lone survivors 1.75inch.

Scanavo confirmed the steelbook samples were shipped today so I'm hoping I can showcase them at the start of next week. I've also attached sample designs of the steelbooks front Finishing.

Background will be Debossed to raise/emboss the cast and the title will be Debossed.
I've also attached the white base layer for reference so you can see which sections will have a metallic effect, all sections not in green will show a metallic shine to hopefully somewhat replicate the shimmer.
I wanted the twin bossing to take centre stage on the front so the back has much more of the shimmer effect.

Steelbooks are in production and on Track.

Tin proofs arrived yesterday earlier than expected.

As always I want to keep things as transparent as possible. I needed to sleep on my decision to make sure I was happy.
The white base/ metallic effect did not translate well at all to this specific design. In hand it looked rough and out of place and imo detracted from what is otherwise a beautiful steelbook.

I've made the decision to remove the metallic effect and keep a full white base to keep the colours rich as they should be.
The colouring of the steelbook didn't bode well with the bare metal and I'm so glad the proofs are supplied so I could see this in hand.

So we continue with a tried and tested process, full white base for more rich colour and twinbossing
Embossed/raised Cast members and Debossed title with the steelbook being full gloss still.

We will be just minus the small originally planned metallic effect. It didn't , Work at all.

I want this to be a fantastic all round release and this minor change will see that it is!

Progress update 3.
New & Final Tin proofs arrived at the end of last week

Bear in mind Embossing/Debossing is added in production and not on the proofs.

They have been approved and production has started, the slight delay has caused the delivery date to be 7th Nov so we're still well within expected release date.

Pins will be here Friday according to the tracking.

Art cards/char cards & folders etc are expected prior to Friday.

Slips / OC box are slightly delayed but again within expected delivery timescales, hoping to have shots of these in the next couple weeks.

Be back once pins arrive and will showcase.

Progress update 4. 

I think we are over half way with updates now as there will be about three more prior to release now.

Folders are in and back by very popular demand from Lone Survivor, the Velcro closer returns! 

Really pleased with the crisp print on all these inserts.

Pin badge with backing card.

Pins have come out fantastic after changing them from the initial sample. They are now 2 inch as opposed to 1.75 and full gloss, black back plate and double clasp.

Three things missing are the belly bands to hold the content together, the numbered i.d card and the i.d card backing cards which I'll post in with another update.

Hoping to have the OC and Slip beauty shots in the next 15 days.

To note, I'm unfortunately on Jury service next week so will be mostly unavailable for contact, I'll return any emails when possible.

Hi everyone,
As I was locking the office up this evening an Artic lorry with two pallets of steelbooks decided to arrive!

Everything has gone so smoothly with this release, I've been happy with the consistent updates that have been provided & the delivery of the content for Annihilation.
Unfortunately the Slips & OC box's had a major print error which has been so frustrating especially because of how good everything else has been. I'm back and forth to get a real push on with the re print, there's politics involved but rest assured we will get this sorted as soon as I can.
As always I will keep you updated every step of the way.

Hi Everyone,

Just a quick update regarding the pending Annihilation release.

For those of you following the Facebook page, you’ve likely seen the updates throughout each stage of production. These seem to have gone down great with customers and will certainly continue.

I appreciate that not everyone has Facebook, but it is the easiest place for me to share detailed info and images compared to a mail merge. I’d highly recommend giving the page a follow for the latest visuals on this and all AC releases (Link at the bottom of this email)

As some of you saw in the most recent update, the Steelbooks are in hand. However, we discovered a print flaw with the legal text on the Slips and OC box. To meet our contract obligations, these had to be corrected.

This has been a huge frustration because, prior to this, we were on track to release earlier than the expected date of today (1/12/2025).

The Slips and OC box are now back in production. To keep expectations realistic, the release won't happen this side of Christmas. Manufacturers are slowing down, and postal services will soon be overwhelmed.

I will provide an update in the New Year as to when we can expect these to start shipping.

Thank you again for all your support on this release, it has had a fantastic response. We also have two new releases due in early 2026, which I’ll go into more detail about when I can.
