With a lot of interest and support, the Blu-ray box set of <Celine Siama: Growing Up Trilogy Collection> was shipped out yesterday, and there must be many people who are receiving it one after another. (The shipment will continue until tomorrow, so some of you may not have received it yet.)

Surprisingly, I get a lot of questions, so I'll leave a guide. There are some people who ask for defectiveness or exchange for the fact that the cover book (spine) part of the enclosed booklet is separated from the inner part, or check whether the processing is intentional.

This type of binding is a deliberate selection of a special binding method called typographical (OTA) binding, exposed binding. This is the binding method I chose because the book is close to 80 pages and there is a lot of volume in the Blu-ray booklet. The advantage is that the book can be opened completely, so it is easy to turn the book, and it goes well with the overall design concept by tying the sky blue thread to the exposed or exposed back of the book.
Please note that this part is not a defect in which the cover of the book has come off.

For your reference, the last photo in the post is from another book with the same binding method. ‘Feuilles’ is a collection of works by Um Yoo-jung, published in 2020, containing plant drawings. The book won the ‘Golden Letter’, the highest award at the ‘2021 World’s Most Beautiful Book’, an international book design contest held in Germany.
