Missing Link haben weltweit genau die 90 Mitglieder gesehen und sonst niemand :D Coole Wahl allerdings! Einen absoluten Flop auszuzeichnen und die Mrd. Filme nicht.

IndyQ Im Kino des Lebens

Ich schätze mal es ging bei der Preisverleihung weniger um Erfolg als um die reine Produktion der Filme. Und da Laika sich immer sehr viel Mühe mit den Filmen gibt finde ich den Preis durchaus gerechtfertigt.  Zumal es der einzige Film der Gruppe ist der als "neu" angesehen werden kann. Außerdem ist er rasant und witzig. Vor allem C M Herbst macht wieder mal einen guten Job.

Aber selbst unter den Leika Filmen ist Missing Link sicherlich keiner der besseren Filme. Trotzdem ist er kein Sequel wie du schon sagst.

Er sieht ziemlich scheiße aus, an der digitalen Arbeit liegt es also nicht. Er ist nicht sonderlich originell. Ob Christoph Maria Herbst in Deutschland die Synchro macht interessiert in Hollywood niemanden. Wer weiß warum das so entschieden wurde.
Generell war es schwierig. Sequel ist kein Ausschlussgrund, eher die bessere Qualität der Vorgänger. Frozen ist leicht besser als Teil 2, Toy Story 3 besser als 4, Dragons 1 und 2 besser als 3.
Deshalb bleibt es eine kuriose Entscheidung. Genauso kurios ist es aber, The Lion King zu nominieren. Das ist ein 1:1 Remake. Toy Story hätte es wohl gewinnen müssen wenn man nur den Inhalt unter Auslassung aller anderen Faktoren betrachtet.
