Time will tell if this one picks up steam but
word from Deadline has it that Chad Stahelski is planning his way
into another film franchise. For this, we turn to New York Times
best-selling author Richard Kadrey's longstanding Sandman Slim
novels comprised of nine installments as of 2009 with a tenth in
tow for 2018.
Via HarperVoyager:
Supernatural fantasy has a new antihero.
Life sucks and then you die. Or, if you're James Stark, you spend
eleven years in Hell as a hitman before finally escaping, only to
land back in the hell-on-earth that is Los Angeles.
Now Stark's back, and ready for revenge. And absolution, and maybe
even love. But when his first stop saddles him with an abusive
talking head, Stark discovers that the road to absolution and
revenge is much longer than you'd expect, and both Heaven and Hell
have their own ideas for his future.
Resurrection sucks. Saving the world is worse.
What Happened To Monday scribe is adapting the novels following a
draft by Kel Symons penned back in 2016 when after Studio 8
acquired the rights. LBI Entertainment’s Patrick Walmsley and Julie
Yorn are producing with John Lesher with Chris Goldberg overseeing
production for Studio 8 next to Rishi Rajani.
The film adds to the burgeoning director's credits following an
extensive career in stunts and second unit direction. Stahelski's
next turn at the helm will be John Wick: Chapter Three for its May
17, 2019 release from Lionsgate.

Klingt soweit schon einmal recht zynisch und bei Stahelski werd ich
sowieso neugierig. Ist gebongt.
