Zitat:
Sony’s Crackle officially has entered the original drama field with its first hourlong series, The Art Of More, toplined by Dennis Quaid. Christian Cooke (Magic City) has been cast as the co-lead opposite Quaid in the project, which has received a 10-episode straight-to-series order from the digital network. Kate Bosworth (Still Alice) co-stars.

Written by Stern and Rose, the drama explores the underbelly — and surprisingly cutthroat world — of premium auction houses, filled with hustlers, smugglers, power mongers and collectors of the beautiful and the bizarre. It follows a blue-collar young man, Graham Connor (Cooke), who leverages his way into this exclusive existence by exploiting his connections to antiquities smuggling rings he was exposed to as a soldier in Iraq.

Quaid plays charismatic real estate shark Samuel Brukner, a Machiavellian master of money and power who’s one part charm and one part intimidation. Brukner is the life of the party, but when it comes to his money, he can be ruthless, shrewd and corrupt. Bosworth plays Roxanna Whitney, daughter of the CEO of one of the two warring auction houses — and a leading account executive. Although she was born into this exclusive world and thrives in it, she is riddled with insecurities that drive her to be a formidable executive in her own right.

Filming on the series starts the first week of May in Montreal.

DEADLINE

Klingt irgendwie noch nicht so ganz interessant. Da aber Crackle doch ganze gute Eisen im Feuer hat, werde ich hier mal dran bleiben und abwarten, wie der erste Trailer aussieht!
