the 2009 MGM was coming from a very old telecine...

This restoration was supervised by the Cineteca Nazionale and The Film Foundation.

The Cineteca Nazionale is Showing all three movies at the Cannes Film Festival ALL coming from new restorations. Starting In June the trilogy will go back to the movie theaters here in Italy...

I suppose MGM has only the rights for TGTBTU and not for the other 2 restorations...

The timing IS closer to the italian version. This new 4K restoration was still done by The Cineteca Nazionale so it's still italian...

The new disc comes from a brand new 4K scan-restoration done by one of the best restoring companies on the planet.

Now it looks like "FILM" and YES the colour timing is accurate for sure... The 2009 italian edition had the same timing and was considered reference quality....

Yes it is more yellow but still yellow. The old MGM disc is all brown/mud. So it's closer for sure. Scans and restorations have come a long way in the last few years, so it's safe to assume the Cineteca did the best job possible in attempt to respect Leone's original vision.

entweder sie machen alles so gelbstichtig oder verpassen diese kühlen blau stich.. hauptsache man hat was geändert xD so kommts mir manchmal vor.
