Actor John Travolta doesn't always do action movies, but when he does, he usually plays a badass villain in some form or another. His role as a Serbian huntsman in the 2013 flick, Killing Season was pretty good - not great, but it served its purpose, and now he's reportedly in talks to switch gears to play the protagonist in Eraser helmer Chuck Russell's new film, I Am Wrath.

Set to roll cameras in March should Travolta make it official, Paul Sloan's script will depict the actor as a man out to find his wife's killer when the cops fail to. The film is currently being billed as Travolta's Taken with producers Michael Mendelsohn, Nick Vallelonga and Richard Salvatore also on board. The film is also scouting for supporting roles while we await further word on Travolta's official signing.

The plot isn't anything new and any comparison to Morel's work on Taken may be a stretch considering how awesome it was, although it could work depeding on what Russell adds to the mix as long as it keeps us going from start to finish. Stay tuned for more info.
